With limited time, money, and expertise, many non-profit organisations are often not able to prioritise design. Move For Two had established a solid brand identity base but we believed we could build on the brand even more as they moved into the global nonprofit space.

Move for Two uses dance education to address social issues. Their dance and life skills classes equip vulnerable children in Cape Town’s Gugulethu township with the skills and self-confidence they need to move above and beyond their circumstances.

Geometric visual elements, patterns, and animations were introduced to add personality and texture to the brand. The graphic shapes are inspired by the logo and are used to bring movement and energy into the design. Each animation icon was created to represent the four pillars of MFT.

The bright and youthful colour palette was softened to give the brand a sophisticated and modern feel.

The ultimate goal was to overhaul Move for Two’s website but, because this was an NPO project, it needed to be done on a tight time budget. We wrote a blog about how we achieved their website refresh using the sprint methodology. Read it here.
